Your mission:
The Freight Transport Business Development Manager plays a key role in the company’s growth and in maintaining commercial relations with customers. He/she must identify growth opportunities, establish relationships with customers, contribute to achieving the company’s objectives, manage the calls for tender for which he/she is responsible, and monitor commercial projects in conjunction with the sales manager for the customer account.
Your main tasks:
- Processing transport tenders:
- Receiving invitations to tender
- Study of specifications
- Preparation of price lists
- Working closely with the operational teams to identify promising projects for the company and to establish tariffs
- Sending commercial offers to customers/prospects
- Reporting on and monitoring current and future calls for tenders
- Sales support: providing ongoing support to the sales teams
- Management of administrative tasks (platforms, reporting, CRM)
Skills :
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Thoroughness required
- Good communication skills
- Good command of IT tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Good time management / Organised
- Preferably previous experience in the transport sector
Languages :
- English B2 level required
- German as a bonus
